The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 2024-25 NBA championship rings have become a talking point for their innovative design and luxurious craftsmanship.

Each championship ring is adorned with over 800 custom-cut, hand-set gemstones, mirroring the total number of three-pointers the Thunder executed during their playoff journey last spring. This impressive attention to detail not only showcases artistry but also symbolizes the team’s impressive performance.

The rings were presented during an on-court ceremony prior to the first matchup of the 2025-26 NBA season against the Houston Rockets, a moment broadcasted nationally. Notable attendees included NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, alongside Thunder chairman Clay Bennett, executive vice president Sam Presti, and head coach Mark Daigneault.

During the ceremony, as players were announced, they joyfully interacted with Silver, Presti, and Bennett, culminating in a heartfelt exchange of camaraderie. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning NBA MVP, was the last to receive his ring, choosing to don it on his right index finger.

Each ring boasts 100 diamonds set in 14-karat gold on its face, prominently displaying the words “NBA CHAMPIONS” alongside the iconic Larry O’Brien Trophy. This exquisite piece was crafted by The Champions Collective, a newly established offshoot of Jostens, known for producing high-quality commemorative pieces.

The ring features a unique “ring-within-the-ring” design, allowing the top of the ring to open and reveal a custom inner band. This bespoke band is engraved with each player’s signature and showcases diamonds that form their jersey numbers. Notably, ninety-four diamonds are intricately placed along the inner band, which can be worn independently as an alternative to the championship ring.

    Further personal touches include:

    • The Thunder’s OKC logo prominently displayed on the ring’s face, the diamonds representing the unbreakable bond among teammates.
    • “Oklahoma City” inscribed on the left side in contrasting 14-karat white gold.
    • “68-14,” denoting the impressive regular-season record, showcased between vibrant blue and orange sapphires, reflecting the team’s colors.
    • The outer palm side pays tribute to the Oklahoma City National Memorial’s Gates of Time, engraved in 14-karat white gold and accented by sapphires symbolizing shimmering water.
    • The inner palm side features the state motto, “labor omnia vincit,” which translates to “work conquers all things” in Latin.
