James Harden’s recent adidas tour in China generated a buzz, drawing large crowds to a mall in Guangzhou. The Los Angeles Clippers guard is embracing his annual collaboration with adidas, with fans flocking in jerseys from the Rockets, Nets, Sixers, and Clippers to show their support.

One of the highlights was the lively “Uno Fest,” an event honoring Harden’s basketball journey. The mall was packed across all four floors, as fans eagerly awaited a chance to see the 11-time All-Star. Harden interacted with attendees, signing shoes, jerseys, and even basketball cards. The festivities also featured a performance by rapper Gali and various giveaways celebrating the launch of his latest shoe.

A viral video captured the electric atmosphere as James Harden made his entrance, with fans chanting his name and waving posters. This tour coincides with the launch of Harden’s Vol. 9 sneakers and a series of appearances in cities like Foshan and Shenzhen until August 6, post which he will head back to Los Angeles for the upcoming NBA season.

Harden’s tour highlights the significant influence he has beyond the basketball court, emphasizing his connection with fans globally.

Former Teammate Praises Harden’s Impact with the 76ers

Tyrese Maxey recently expressed his admiration for Harden’s contributions during their time together with the Philadelphia 76ers. Joining the team in 2021, Harden took on a selfless role, focusing on facilitating rather than just scoring. He led the league in assists for the 2022-23 season, averaging 10.7 per game while still contributing around 21 points.

On a recent episode of The Deep Three podcast, Maxey remarked, “He got me a lot of easy shots.” He shared that Harden’s initial message to him was clear: “Listen, don’t think you’re not going to get the ball. Don’t think you’re not about to still be aggressive and keep building your game.”

Maxey elaborated on Harden’s instinct to push the pace: “Whether we scored or didn’t, he was going to pitch it ahead to me—letting me score in transition or play one-on-one.” This encouragement helped bolster Maxey’s confidence, and their chemistry, alongside Joel Embiid, led the 76ers to a successful season with 54 wins and a deep playoff run.
