Solarium, a multi-level venue in Houston combining pickleball courts with dining, drinking, and outdoor experiences, is now permanently closed, as reported by KHOU11 News. The news was shared quietly through social media, with the venue’s last updates appearing in February.

Situated in Midtown, the venue was innovatively crafted by Rex Hospitality, a group co-founded by McCullers Jr. alongside various business partners. Their aim was to develop something distinctive. A sports-centric social environment centered on pickleball, one of the nation’s rapidly growing sports.
It had the makings of success.
A spacious layout. A strategic location. A collaboration with the Kirby Group, known for upscale dining and bar developments. The venue replaced a popular local destination, Holman Draft Hall, which had stood the test of time. Plus, an MLB pitcher backing it.
Yet, it faltered.
