The European giants beat China 90-61 in Berlin and reached the semifinals. Johannès scored 15 with seven assists in nearly 21 minutes on the floor. The highlight was not in the box score. The whistle had already blown; yet she still turned her head and splashed it.

Johannès plays for the New York Liberty and wears 23 for France. She has lived on one-leg logo threes for years. This one was different. Eyes off the rim and the ball still dropped.
She is averaging 16.5 points in about 19 minutes at this tournament, while shooting 48.5 percent from deep through four games. She scored 17 in each group game, then 15 in the quarterfinal.
